Because of a strong family tradition, Linda also was immersed in pictorial arts from an early age. Her great aunt, Grace Bosworth, a prominent painter, was a source of inspiration to her. Her mother, who also is an artist, taught Linda to draw and paint. In subsequent years, Linda studied with Charles White at the Otis Art Institute.
Linda's background is Italian and English. Her paintings are highly expressive and contain strong undercurrents of emotion, color, and movement. Linda uses her maiden name, Sanfilippo, on her paintings.
Linda's works have been exhibited at Von Der Ahe Galleries and Paul Masson Museum in Monterey, Shatan Art Gallery and Handworks Gallery in Carmel, Seaside City Hall Annual Art Competition, Swanson Gallery in San Francisco, and Katona Gallery in Brentwood (Los Angeles). Art Center/Palisades organized a one-person exhibit of Linda's paintings in 1997. Linda has worked extensively with interior designers and has exhibited regularly at the Pasadena Showcase House. She very much enjoys doing commissions.
Linda's artwork has a growing and enthusiastic following and is being acquired for collections worldwide. Currently, her paintings are being distributed by a major art brokerage in Tokyo. She lives in Monterey, California with her psychologist husband, Albert Mehrabian.
